Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner/Melbourne, FL 32904 - Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner needed for a busy, fast paced Back & Spine / Orthopaedic (Total Joint) & Pain Management Practice. Requirements include current FL Physician Assistant license; two years previous experience with orthopedics and total joint surgical first assist; arthroscopy and / or Pain Mgt. preferred. Will be expected to perform comprehensive and problem focused H&P's; initial evaluations, independently or in conjunction with the physician; order and evaluate x-rays, MRI's and CT's; perform joint aspiration and injections; casting, splinting and fitting for DME. Will be expected to order, prescribe, dispense and administer medications and DME appropriately; manage prescription refill requests; monitor physical and/or occupational therapeutic services as well as MVA and Worker’s Compensation treatment plans. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Will be required to respond to patient phone calls to facilitate patient care delivery; educate patients and family on diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Will take call (1 in 5 or ) and will make rounds on inpatients. Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, team oriented environment and provide the highest extent of customer service and patient care.
