Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner/Colorado Springs, CO 80911 - Mental Health NP or PA needed in Colorado as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical services. Two positions are available; one for adult population and the other for child and family. Will assume client care responsibilities inclusive of psychiatric evaluation, professional diagnosis and prescribing and/or administering treatment; apply medical knowledge and skills to the process of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses; provide psychiatric evaluation and diagnostic assessment offering psychotropic treatment options and input to treatment plan as a part of a multi-disciplinary team of case managers, therapists, nurses and program managers. Performs, analyzes and documents findings for mental health and substance abuse assessments and interventions as appropriate for specialty training and population served. Knowledge and competency in the psychiatric assessment and treatment of populations served. Knowledge of theoretical and pharmacologic issues related to clinical treatment of common psychiatric disorders. Experience in Community Mental Health, Recovery Models of Care, Resilience Theory. Training and/or certification in Psychiatry. Colorado license. Salary $90-100K with benefits.
